Grandparents are Great!

Some of my fondest childhood memories are at my grandparents' farm in Saskatchewan. I learned how to drive a truck (at six years old on my grandpa's lap), drive a quad, build a tree fort, and generally entertain myself on a farm outside of a tiny town called Turtleford. Summers were exciting for my brother and me - we got to spend at least a couple weeks with Grandma & Grandpa. That meant homemade buns and cookies, trips to the lake, visits with cousins and family, and staying up late watching movies and playing games.

Annika may not have a farm to visit in summer vacations to come, but she does have fantastic grandparents to make wonderful memories with. She is well loved and I look forward to watching her grow up enjoying time with her grandparents.

Here are some pictures of A while visiting with her Grandpas and Grandma.

There's one picture missing from this post. My mom would've been over the moon to have a granddaughter...she was so excited to know that we were expecting a baby. I like to imagine God pushing aside the clouds now and then for her to have a look at Annika from heaven.
