Housebound

Well, most of this week was spent indoors trying to feel better. Thankfully, I think I'm on the mend! I feel much better today and if I can just get rid of the congestion, I'll be A-OK. I was disappointed that we had to cancel/postpone several visits that were planned for this week, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I don't want to get my friends and family sick! So we've holed up at home.

Today we did venture out though to get a replacement water filter for our fridge. Before I went to pick up the part I decided to fill up with gas at Costco and then pop in and have a hot dog for lunch! (Healthy, I know...) As I was heading for the store, I heard someone shout "Penny!" loudly and I saw a blonde woman waving frantically at me. After a closer look I realized it was a friend I used to work with back at Qualico, around 10 years ago!! Blast from the past. It's neat to catch up with old friends...we'll see if I meet up with Dallas at some point so that we can fill in some of the blanks from the last decade. Wow...where does time go?

On a completely different note...I need a new wardrobe. Head to toe...I need new clothes and shoes. I feel so BLAH!! Anyone want to go shopping with me? I'll see if I can get an increase in my allowance from the hubby. haha!! ;)
